How to set up TiviMate

TiviMate is a TV-style IPTV player built for Android TV. Install it, add your playlist with an Xtream Codes login or M3U link, and let the programme guide load. Allow around ten minutes on a Firestick, less on an Android TV box.

Answer

To set up TiviMate, install it from Google Play on an Android TV or Google TV device, or with the Downloader code published on tivimate.com on an Amazon Fire TV stick. Open it, choose Add playlist, pick Xtream Codes and enter your server URL, username and password. Your channels and TV guide then load automatically.

What TiviMate is, and what it isn't

TiviMate IPTV Player, made by Armobsoft FZE, is an app for watching IPTV playlists on a television. It gives you a programme-guide grid, favourites, search, catch-up, recording, multiview and parental controls, and it is designed to be driven with a TV remote rather than a touchscreen.

It is only a player. TiviMate itself says it provides no channels or content, isn't affiliated with any content provider, and that any paid upgrade unlocks app features only. To watch anything you add a playlist from your own service. With IPTV Extended, that's the login we send by email, or on WhatsApp for a free trial.

Which devices TiviMate runs on

Android TV and Google TV

TiviMate is built for Android TV, so TV boxes and televisions running Android TV or Google TV are its natural home. You install it from Google Play like any other app.

Amazon Fire TV sticks

Fire TV devices don't have Google Play, so TiviMate is installed with the free Downloader app instead, using the code or link TiviMate publishes on its own website. The steps are below.

What it isn't built for

TiviMate's developer says the app isn't optimised for phones or tablets, and its official downloads are Android-only. There's no version for iPhone, iPad, Windows or Mac, and it won't install on Samsung or LG televisions, which don't run Android. On a Samsung or LG TV use Smart IPTV; on an iPhone or iPad use IPTV Smarters Pro.

Install TiviMate

On Android TV or Google TV

Open Google Play, search for TiviMate IPTV Player and check the developer is Armobsoft FZE before installing. Then open the app and add your playlist, as described in the next section.

On an Amazon Fire TV stick

  1. Install Downloader

From the Fire TV home screen, search for Downloader and install it from the Amazon Appstore.

  2. Allow Downloader to install apps

Turn on installing unknown apps for Downloader in your Fire TV settings. Our Firestick guide shows where to find this setting.

  3. Enter TiviMate's code

Open Downloader and type the code shown on tivimate.com. When we checked on 12 September 2026 it was 272483; you can also type the address tivimate.com/apk.

  4. Install and open TiviMate

Confirm the installation, then open TiviMate from your apps.

Only install TiviMate from tivimate.com or Google Play. Copies from other sites can be out of date or modified.

Keeping TiviMate updated

The Google Play version updates like any other app. TiviMate says the version installed from its website checks for updates itself.

Add your playlist

The first time TiviMate opens, it asks you to add a playlist. It accepts three types: Xtream Codes, M3U and Stalker portal.

Xtream Codes (recommended)

Choose Xtream Codes and enter the server URL, username and password exactly as we sent them, including the http:// or https:// at the start and any port number. Give the playlist a name and confirm. This single login brings in your live channels, the on-demand library and the TV guide together.

If TiviMate rejects the login, paste the server address into our playlist validator. Most failures are a stray space or a missing part of the address.

M3U link

Choose M3U and paste your playlist link. It loads quickly, but an M3U link doesn't always include the TV guide, so you may need to add a guide (EPG) address as well. The next section explains how.

Stalker portal

A portal login uses a portal address together with your device's MAC address, and is mostly used with set-top boxes such as MAG boxes. If your provider gives you Xtream Codes details, use those instead: they're simpler to enter and include everything.

Set up the TV guide (EPG)

The EPG is the grid that shows what's on now and next. With an Xtream Codes login it normally loads by itself after you add the playlist, though a large guide can take a few minutes the first time.

When the EPG won't load or update

This is the most common TiviMate problem, and it almost always comes down to one of four things:

Menu names move between TiviMate versions, so look for the TV guide or EPG options under your playlist in the settings.

The settings worth changing on day one

Free version or Premium?

TiviMate is free to install, and Google Play lists it with in-app purchases. A paid upgrade unlocks extra app features. It never adds channels or content.

The features TiviMate lists include multiple playlists, favourites, search, multiview, catch-up, recording and parental controls. Which of those need the paid upgrade, and what it costs, can change, so check the current details inside the app or on tivimate.com before you pay.

When TiviMate isn't working

It stopped working after an update

Restart the device first. If TiviMate still won't open, clear the app's cache from your device's app settings, or reinstall it from Google Play or tivimate.com.

Buffering or freezing

Try another channel. If only one buffers, the problem is that source, not your setup. If everything buffers, check your connection with our speed test, use a wired connection or 5GHz Wi-Fi, and work through our guide to fixing IPTV buffering.

The login is rejected

Re-enter the details exactly as sent, check the server address in the playlist validator, and make sure your subscription or trial is still active. If it still fails, contact our support team and we'll check your line.

Channels are missing or out of date

Update the playlist from TiviMate's playlist settings so it picks up the latest channel list, then re-check your favourites.

TiviMate FAQ

Is TiviMate free?

TiviMate is free to install, and Google Play lists it with in-app purchases. A paid upgrade unlocks extra app features, never channels or content. Which features are included free can change, so check inside the app or on tivimate.com before paying.

Does TiviMate work on a Firestick?

Yes. Fire TV devices don't have Google Play, so TiviMate is installed with the free Downloader app using the code or link published on tivimate.com. After that it is set up exactly as on Android TV.

Can I use TiviMate on an iPhone, iPad, Samsung or LG TV?

No. TiviMate is built for Android TV and its official downloads are Android-only. On Samsung and LG televisions use Smart IPTV, and on an iPhone or iPad use IPTV Smarters Pro.

Does TiviMate include channels?

No. TiviMate is a media player only and provides no channels or content. You add a playlist from your own service, and TiviMate displays it.

Should I use Xtream Codes or M3U in TiviMate?

Use Xtream Codes where you can. One login brings in your live channels, the on-demand library and the TV guide together. An M3U link loads your channels but doesn't always include the guide, so you may need to add an EPG address separately.

Why won't my TiviMate EPG update?

The usual causes are an M3U link with no guide attached, a guide that hasn't finished downloading, or a device clock set to the wrong time or time zone. Log in with Xtream Codes, wait a few minutes, trigger a manual guide update, and check the device's date and time.
