Every fix, by symptom

⏳ Buffering or freezing
- Restart everything, in order: player app, then device, then unplug the router for 30 seconds.
- Go wired or 5GHz: use an Ethernet cable, or switch to the 5GHz Wi-Fi band and move closer to the router.
- Check your speed: run a speed test on the same device — aim for ~10 Mbps for HD, ~25 Mbps for 4K.
- Turn on hardware decoding: set the player's decoder to HW or HW+.
- Free up bandwidth: pause big downloads and other streams; drop to Full HD at peak times.
💥 App keeps crashing
- Clear the app's cache (and data) in your device settings, then reopen it.
- Update or reinstall the player from the official store.
- Reboot the device fully — off for 30 seconds, not just standby.
- Free up storage and memory by closing and removing unused apps.
- Try a different player — IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate or IBO Player on the same login.
📺 Black screen / no picture
- Try another channel first — if others play, the first was a busy source.
- Restart the app and device.
- Switch the decoder between HW and SW — a black screen with sound is a codec mismatch.
- Re-enter your login / playlist exactly as in your welcome email.
- Confirm your subscription is active — our 24/7 support can check in seconds.
🔑 Login / activation won't work
- Re-check your details from the welcome email — they're case-sensitive.
- Try the other login method — M3U URL instead of Xtream Codes, or vice versa.
- For Smart TV apps, check the MAC you registered matches the TV.
- Restart the app after saving your details.
- Confirm your subscription is active with support.
Why IPTV freezes — and how to stop it for good
Live streaming arrives continuously, so your connection has to keep up in real time — which is why freezing is almost always about the last few metres of your home network rather than the stream itself. A wired connection or the 5GHz band, hardware decoding switched on, and a line comfortably above the speeds our test checks for will keep playback smooth even during the busiest Premier League weekend. If you’re still setting things up, our device setup guides and compatibility checker make sure your kit is configured right from the start, and the full buffering guide goes deeper on each fix.
Troubleshooting FAQs
Why does my IPTV keep buffering or freezing?
Buffering is nearly always a connection issue in the last few metres of your home network, not the stream itself. Restart your player, device and router; use a wired connection or the 5GHz Wi-Fi band; turn on hardware decoding in the player; and pause other big downloads. A steady 10 Mbps handles HD and 25 Mbps handles 4K per stream.
Why does my IPTV app keep crashing?
The most common cause is a corrupted app cache. Clear the player's cache in your device settings, then update or reinstall it from the official store, reboot the device fully, and free up storage. If one app keeps crashing, a different player such as IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate or IBO Player usually runs cleanly.
Why is my IPTV showing a black screen?
A black screen is usually a codec mismatch or a busy source. Try another channel first, restart the app and device, then switch the video decoder between HW and SW in the player settings. If nothing plays, re-enter your Xtream Codes or M3U login exactly as in your welcome email and confirm your subscription is active.
How do I stop IPTV freezing during live sport?
Live sport is the most bandwidth-hungry content, so give it the steadiest path: use a wired Ethernet connection or the 5GHz band, enable hardware decoding, close other streams and downloads on the network, and check your speed is comfortably above 25 Mbps for 4K. On our anti-freeze servers those steps keep the match smooth.
