Guide figures are per simultaneous stream. Watching on two screens at once? Double the number. On our adaptive anti-freeze network, playback stays smooth even when your line dips.

Why your speed matters for IPTV

Streaming live telly is different from loading a web page: the picture arrives continuously, so your connection has to keep up in real time. A quick speed test tells you three things that decide how smooth your viewing will be — how much bandwidth you have (download), how steady it is (jitter), and how quickly your device talks to the server (ping). Fast but jittery lines still stutter during a big match; a steady 15–25 Mbps line, wired where possible, gives rock-solid Full HD and 4K. If your result looks low, our buffering fix guide walks through the quick wins — a wired connection, a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, and closing background downloads usually sort it.

Speed test FAQs

How fast does my internet need to be for IPTV?

For smooth streaming, about 10 Mbps is comfortable for Full HD and 25 Mbps is ideal for 4K Ultra HD. Our adaptive, anti-freeze servers keep playback stable even on slower lines, and you only need that speed per simultaneous stream.

Does this speed test store my data?

No. The test streams throwaway data to and from our servers to measure your connection. Nothing is saved, no files are uploaded from your device, and no personal details are collected.

Why is my speed lower than my broadband package?

Wi-Fi distance, peak-time congestion and other devices sharing the line all reduce real-world speed. Plugging your streaming device into the router with an Ethernet cable gives the most stable result.

What speed do I need for 4K sport?

Around 25 Mbps per 4K stream. If several people in the house watch at once, add roughly that much again for each extra simultaneous stream.
