How to set up SmartOne IPTV

What SmartOne IPTV is

SmartOne IPTV (also written Smart One IPTV) is a media player. SmartOne says it offers no channels, subscriptions or streaming service, and a licence comes with no channels or streams. Paying unlocks the app on one TV, not anything to watch.

Your channels come from a playlist you add from an IPTV provider. With IPTV Extended, that's the login we send when you start a free trial or subscribe. The provider, not the app, decides whether your viewing is above board: see our guide to whether IPTV is legal in the UK.

SmartOne IPTV isn't Smart IPTV (SIPTV). They're separate apps from different developers, with their own websites, prices and activation. If that's the app you have, use our Smart IPTV setup guide.

Which TVs and devices SmartOne IPTV runs on

SmartOne lists these platforms on its own website and in its installation guides:

Older Samsung (Orsay) and LG (NetCast) models are listed too. SmartOne also names Panasonic, TCL, Sharp, Hitachi and Telefunken among its brands, but models vary, so check your TV's app store first.

Install SmartOne IPTV

On a Samsung TV

SmartOne's official Samsung Tizen guide gives these steps:

1. Open the Samsung app store on your TV.
2. Search for SmartOne IPTV and install it.
3. Go to APPS HOME, find SmartOne IPTV and open it.

SmartOne lists this method for 2016 to 2021 models (K, M, N, Q, R and T series). 2015 J-series TVs install instead from a FAT32 USB stick, using the file in the same guide, and the stick stays in the TV. Older non-Tizen models have a separate Orsay guide.

From the LG Content Store

1. Open the LG Content Store on your TV.
2. Search for SmartOne IPTV and install it.
3. Go to APPS HOME, find SmartOne IPTV and open it.

On Fire TV from the Amazon Appstore

1. Search for SmartOne IPTV in the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick.
2. Install it.
3. Open SmartOne IPTV from your apps.

Android TV and Google TV use Google Play in the same way.

Find your TV's MAC address

When SmartOne IPTV opens, it shows your TV's MAC address. Copy it exactly, in the format 11:AA:CC:AA:EE:00. Your playlist and licence are both linked to it.

Most TVs have two MAC addresses, one for Ethernet and one for Wi-Fi, and SmartOne uses the active connection's. Switch connection and restart the app, and the address changes. SmartOne moves your licence across automatically, but your playlist stays linked to the address you entered online.

Some LG webOS TVs only give apps a device ID. On those, SmartOne assigns a MAC address that stays the same even if you change connection.

Add your playlist on the SmartOne website

You add your playlist on a phone, tablet or computer, not the TV. Open SmartOne's official Upload Playlist page, pick the tab for your login type and enter your TV's MAC address.

Xtream Codes

Use the Xtream Server Info tab: add an account name, then the server address, port, username and password from your welcome message. If you have a single Xtream playlist link, use the Xtream Playlist tab instead. Save, then relaunch the app on the TV.

M3U URL

Use the M3u Playlist tab: add a playlist name and your M3U link, save, then relaunch the app. A Stalker Portal tab is there too.

Adding the TV guide (EPG)

Xtream Codes logins bring the TV guide in automatically from your provider's panel. For M3U, paste your provider's XMLTV link into the optional EPG URL field (SmartOne prefers files under 5MB), or use a playlist with a url-tvg or x-tvg-url tag. Then turn on Settings › Setup › EPG Info in the app.

SmartOne IPTV free trial and activation

SmartOne's activation page gives you 15 days to test the app; an older help article says 14, so test early. After that, each TV or device needs its own licence:

Prices checked on SmartOne's official activation page on 18 September 2026. They can change, so check the current price there before you pay.

The activation page asks you to confirm the app works for you before paying, and says there are no refunds. A licence includes no channels.

SmartOne IPTV not working?

"Loading timeout" error

SmartOne says this is a connection problem between your TV and the server, not the app. Its fixes, in order: restart the router and TV, then reopen the app; reinstall SmartOne IPTV; as a last resort, reset the TV and reinstall. Playlist works on another device but not SmartOne

Go to Settings › Setup › Reset App: with no playlist loaded, SmartOne plays demo content, which shows the app works. Resetting deletes the data you choose, such as playlists and favourites. SmartOne notes that TVs differ in the stream formats they support and some providers block countries, internet providers or apps, so check with your provider. Playlist disappeared after switching between Wi-Fi and Ethernet

Your TV is now using its other MAC address. Add your playlist to the address the app now shows, or switch back to your original connection. LG webOS TVs with an assigned MAC address aren't affected.

No TV guide (EPG)

With Xtream Codes, the guide comes from your provider, so ask them to check it. With M3U, add an EPG URL on the Upload Playlist page. Either way, make sure Settings › Setup › EPG Info is enabled.
